Cumberland sits in Rhode Island's northeast corner. Its northern mill villages split off to become Woonsocket in 1867. The Lonsdale Company built two of the Blackstone Valley's best brick mill villages here: Ashton in 1867 and Berkeley in 1872. Ashton is one of only seven sites named in the 2014 law that created the Blackstone Valley National Historical Park.
The town's other landmark sits at the opposite end of Cumberland. A 500-acre former Trappist monastery now holds the public library and senior center.
Downspout offers gutter cleaning, gutter repair, and pressure washing throughout Cumberland. The brick rowhouses in Ashton and Berkeley are more than 150 years old in places. Their gutter systems often don't match the roofline they're on now, so water runs down the brick instead of away from it. That brick and masonry also collects decades of soot and grime. Downspout cleans and repairs those gutter systems, then pressure washes the brick and masonry clean.
Serving Cumberland and Its Villages
Downspout works throughout Cumberland's historic villages: Ashton, Berkeley, Valley Falls, Arnold Mills, Diamond Hill, and Cumberland Hill. From century-old mill housing to newer homes, regular gutter care and pressure washing keep properties in good shape.
