Foster split off from the western half of Scituate in 1781. Today it's one of Rhode Island's most sparsely populated towns. It holds Jerimoth Hill, the highest point in the state. The Foster Town Building, built around 1796, has hosted continuous town meetings since 1801. It's the oldest government meeting house of its kind still in use in the country.
Foster's rural character survives across town. Farms, woods, and small historic districts still define most of it.
Downspout offers gutter cleaning, roof cleaning, and pressure washing across Foster. Homes set back on wooded lots, common throughout Foster, collect leaves and organic debris in their gutters at a much higher rate than a typical suburban home would. Roofs shaded by mature trees also stay damp longer after each rain. That's exactly what moss and algae need to spread. Downspout clears and repairs gutter systems common to Foster's rural homes. We also run roof cleaning and pressure washing for the moss and algae that heavy tree cover leaves behind.
Serving Foster and Its Neighborhoods
Downspout works across Foster, from the historic center near the Town Building to the farms and wooded homes across the rest of town. On rural, tree-covered lots like these, regular gutter care and pressure washing matter more than in a denser suburb.
