Hopkinton was incorporated in March 1757. It grew up around two mill villages, Ashaway and Hope Valley, both built along local rivers. Ashaway became home to a fishing line company that made the first synthetic sport fishing line in the country in 1939. Hope Valley's historic center now holds more than 130 buildings and National Register status.
Hopkinton stays heavily wooded and rural in most spots. That tree cover shapes what a home here needs.
Downspout offers gutter cleaning, gutter repair, roof cleaning, and pressure washing across Hopkinton. Homes in Ashaway and Hope Valley often carry gutter systems fixed and resized many times since the mill era. Hopkinton's wooded, rural stretches also mean roofs and gutters collect more organic debris than a typical suburban lot would. Downspout fixes and resizes those gutter systems. We also run roof cleaning and pressure washing for the moss and algae that heavy tree cover leaves behind.
